I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Management at Stony Brook University. I received my Ph.D. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. My research sits at the intersection of decision-making, social network, culture, and technology related psychology. My research aims to answer two questions: 1. How do socio-cultural factors (e.g. culture, social networks, social hierarchy, diversity, mobility) influence the way that individuals navigate through their social environments, build trust, and make decisions? 2. How do people interact with technology (e.g. AI, machine, social media)? My work has appeared in leading academic journals such as Organizational Science, Psychological Science, Social Psychology and Personality Science, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. My paper on travel and trust has won the Annual Student Publication Award from the Society of Personality and Social Psychology. I teach negotiations at both the MBA and undergraduate levels. My teaching has received 5/5 from students evaluations. I work with companies and organizations to develop individual growth and improve management effectiveness. |
